Amazing Family Members

Considering adding an adult dog to your home?  An adult dog has the maturity to be an easy to manage pet and a shorter training period for potty skills.  However, they do require patience, consistency, love and training work as they adapt to their new life.  If want really EASY, you'd need to adopt a dog from a friend or family member.  Our adult dogs do still take WORK and commitment, but they are so worth it!  Give them a bit of time and effort and they'll become the best furry family members you've ever had!

Sandy is a SWEET, sensitive and fun loving girl.  She loves to party, RUNNING on walks like the wind and absolutely in love with her toys and pals. I think she is a dog who will absolutely thrive in a new home, after she's given a little bit of time to settle in. I think she'll come out of her shell hugely and show you just want a fun loving, little partier can be!  You may notice that Sandy is extra in-expensive for her age and this is no accident.  She is being retired because she has had some crystals in her urine, which are easily resolved with with the use of a special urinary diet from the vet and she will need to stay on this food for life to ensure she doesn't have any recurrences.  She is beautifully kennel trained, but if she has to "go" she will cue by weaving back and forth infront of her kennel door silently.    Sandy walks on a leash, is wonderful for baths and grooms, sits for her treats, has a real passion for chasing balls and has nice, solid teeth that will be pretty resistant to dental decay.  She'd be a great pal for a family with a couple gentle kids as I think she'd really enjoy them!  Sandy is ready to join a new home in October and she turns 4 years old this same month!

Boy.  Zee is a VERY hard girl to let go of.  Just spend a few moments with her and her infectious joy and incredibly cute phsyique will win you completely over.  Zee was the result of one of my favourite pairings... my personal pet and chill lover-girl Kiwi and a fun loving, and handsome boy with a gentle spirit, Chewie.  It was very purposeful to retain Zee as the goal was bringing these excellent tempered bloodlines forward, but this sweet girl has been tricky to achieve a pregnancy with!  Her heat cycles are a bit of a mystery and after a couple of disappointments, I think it's best if she just focus on what I know she will absolutely love... a family of her own!

Zee has a nice brown/apricot coat  and really large, expressive eyes.  She is a petite size and would be easy for someone with mobility issues or a love of travel, to manage.  She's a good girl for her baths and trims and is sweetly respectful overall.  Moving into a home of her own will be a big transition from an environment that is predominantly rural and filled with canine companionship so she'll need a patient family who understand that it will take some time to settle in completely.  If Zee could pick, she's prefer a family who has a dog as she does enjoy play and companionship.  She enjoys cuddles, but a bit of action and a dog to hand with would be right up her alley. I think she'd enjoy some quiet and relaxed teenage kids.  She's going to be an absolute delight and bring a lot of joy wherever she goes!

Zee is ready for adoption late September.
